SHT-HYD hygienic design study

The traverse assembly consists of two housing halves, which are sealed using an FDA-compliant silicone seal and screwed together using 4 hygienic screws.

The crossbars can be fixed to your application using two holes. We also recommend hygienic screws and lead screw nuts to completely seal the hole and prevent dirt deposits.

The rotating spindle and shafts are sealed using specially configured wiper seals. These are made of FDA-compliant HPU.

The built-in lead screw nut has a patented design and is made of FDA-compliant plain bearing plastic. It is flushable and has generous flushing grooves to prevent germ formation between the thread and lead screw nut. The guide system on the shafts is also flushable.

At least R3 is realised thanks to the defined radii of the lead screw nut. The moulded chamfers also ensure better drainage of liquids and easier cleaning.

There are also through-holes for your connection on the left and right-hand sides. We recommend hygienic screw connections for this.
