Strain relief for cables in energy chains with clamps and pressure elements
The principle of U-clamps has proven to be a good strain relief for cables in energy chains. Clamps are a suitable strain relief for all energy chains/trailing chains with KMA-mounting bracket and C-rail option.

• Steel bracket clamp: Black painted steel bracket clamp and threaded pin
• Stainless steel U-bolt clamp: U-bolt clamp and grub screw: bright (material AISI 304)
• Pressure elements: Press, double and bottom saddle (material igumid® G)
• C-profiles: Steel (material galvanised steel) or stainless steel (material AISI 304) available

Please note:

• Ideally, the cables should be attached to both ends of the energy chain. They must always be attached to the movable moving end of the energy chain!
• When using chainfix clamp on C-profile in the mounting bracket for series 280, 2828, 290, 2928, R770, R7728, a shortened bottom saddle must be used. For shortened bottom saddles, please add the part number. with the index "K" Example: Part No.. CFX12.1K

installation height

If the energy chain is guided on itself when travelling long distances, the screw heads of the strain relief at the fixed end of the chain must be at least 10 mm away from the top edge of the energy chain. This restriction means that the strain relief elements described here may not be able to be used at the fixed end of long energy chains. Our U-bolt clamps with threaded bolts, specially developed for low installation heights, reduce the installation height by up to 15 mm compared to conventional U-bolt clamps. The strain relief elements can be used safely with self-supporting energy chains.
