How is the copper surcharge actually calculated correctly?
The copper surcharge is the calculation of the difference between the calculated price (copper basis) and the fluctuating, actual price of the copper content of a cable. The copper index indicates the weight of the copper content of a cable in kg/km. The product of the copper index (kg/km) and the price difference per kg of copper therefore gives the copper surcharge in EUR per km of cable.
