In this test, the life expectancy of the CF211 in an e-chain® with a 75 mm radius was to be analysed over a short journey.
Crown caps, toothbrushes, computer housings, laundry baskets - all of these products are manufactured using injection moulding. Injection moulding machines are used when products need to be produced in large quantities. Injection moulding also has the advantage that the items can be produced with high precision in a short time. However, these advantages of the process also place high electrical and mechanical demands on the cables used in the machine. Our CF211 data cable has a twisted pair construction and an overall shield for high electromagnetic compatibility protection. This ensures reliable and precise data transmission.
The machines are in continuous use and must produce quickly so that large quantities can be produced. Added to this is the dry and hot air that prevails in halls with injection moulding machines. The chainflex® data cable CF211 has a long service life, especially over short travel distances or short strokes. The PVC outer jacket is ideally suited for dry environments due to its low flammability and good abrasion properties.
The test has shown that the expected service life of the CF211 data cable is over 53 million strokes. This also confirms that inexpensive chainflex® PVC data cables are reliable and have a long service life.
