igus® has been offering customised transport and assembly solutions for customers for over 10 years thanks to the patented, modular design of the readychain® rack. This year's new readychain® p-rack is a very flexible and simple addition for readychain® customers to take advantage of a customised solution even faster.
Individualisation, process optimisation, efficiency
It is impossible to imagine industrial production without the terms mentioned above. What has long since found its way into everyday life, igus® uses very successfully in industrial assembly and in the production of ready-to-connect assemblies.
With the help of additive manufacturing methods such as 3D printing, "costumised" igus® transport and assembly solutions are created for customer projects. Modules that are precisely tailored to the application offer customised solutions and therefore not only save time and money in advance, for example for the design, but also the hassle and expense of subsequent adjustments. This optimised installation solution pays for itself from batch size one. If larger quantities are involved, volume and transport costs can be saved thanks to the weight reduction and the modular design for returns.

Quick and easy to manufacture
The readychain® p-rack (printed rack) is a practical example of a customised and precisely fitting solution: all add-on parts are manufactured using 3D printing and therefore fit the customer's technical frame conditions or interface with millimetre precision - with practically unlimited geometry options. Where previously complex metalworking by skilled labour was required, components are now printed within 36 hours. Not only are the parts produced much faster, they are also considerably lighter than their metal predecessors. The weight reduction of up to 80 % saves resources and makes handling much easier and safer. The smooth-running design also makes it possible to reduce installation work by up to 66%. Assembly/disassembly is carried out completely without additional hand tools
Sustainable and robust
All add-on parts of the readychain® p-rack can be printed from corn starch, among other materials. This means that almost any geometry can be realised quickly, while the material is also very robust and absolutely "rustproof". The material can be 100% regranulated and reused.
