With travel up to 120 mm/s
The environmental conditions of the 3D printer for the office are favourable, as it is an indoor application with good ventilation and a stable temperature. Accordingly, no dust or dirt particles were allowed to adhere and the intention was to develop a maintenance-free machine.
drylin® T rail guides, slides with adjustment, dryspin® high helix lead screw and lead screw nut were used. The igildur® filament was used for the production of customised lead screw nuts by injection moulding. In addition, the 3D printer cable chains were upgraded to improve ease of maintenance.
The igus® solutions are used for linear motion in all three axes of the office printer. The dryspin® high helix lead screw improves precision and the energy chain provides an effective solution for the guidance of electronic connections and their protection. All parts help to minimise maintenance thanks to the high performance polymers. Particularly noteworthy is the dryspin® technology, which has made it possible to build the first 3D printer with a high pitch spindle. The dryspin® spindle enables linear traversing speeds of up to 120 mm/s, which maintain or even improve the specification of the belt transmission. The perfect 3D printer for the office.
