  • What was needed: A replica of the throttle flaps for simulated 737 NG and 737MAX aircraft, which can be adjusted automatically by the autopilot, but also manually without any problems
  • Requirements: Reduced installation space with the same functionality, robust enough to be used in all climate zones of the world in the long term, possible reverse drive, cost-effective, lubrication- and maintenance-free, corrosion-free
  • Products used: dryspin® high helix lead screw with the matching lead screw nut in 50 mm pitch, supported by drylin® R linear plain bushes
  • Success for the customer: The lead screws were used for the control system of the two throttle levers. The system worked so well that a similar system was also used to drive the speedbrake lever (to control the simulated air brakes), which is mounted in the same throttle module. The products were the perfect blend of low cost, high reliability and very simple feedback control. Thanks to the low cost, the price targets for the simulated throttle valves could be met. The high reliability means that there was no need to worry about the units wearing out or failing in use. Simple reverse control means that the lead screws can be turned back very easily, giving the perfect feel and power to the levers.
