Whether in theatres, opera houses or on cruise ships, Waagner-Biro Stage Systems GmbH is never far away when special technical concepts are required. The stage technology specialist has been developing a variety of innovative technical systems for over 150 years - all for grand performances. For safe cable routing, the designers like to rely on our smooth-running energy chain systems.
In over 13 years of collaboration, there have already been several large-scale projects in which the three chain types have provided the right answer to local challenges.
For example, the linear travelling energy chain from the E4.32 series proved to be the optimum solution for an opera house project in which eight platforms could be extended. The energy supply was designed in close co-operation. Four energy chains with the corresponding chainflex® cables are used per platform in the project. These are supplied directly from a single source, fully assembled as readychain®.
For the energy supply of the stage elevators or in the area of lighting technology, on the other hand, the experts at Waagner-Biro prefer to use the e-spool® solutions. As a result, 20 of the Power e-spools have already been successfully installed in a large opera house.
However, the customer relies on the zig-zag solutions from our energy chain programme above all in scissor lift podiums and in flying gears for people.
Erwin Papst, Head of Construction at Waagner-Biro, is satisfied: "In addition to the wide range of products and the proven quality, we really appreciate the very intensive and long-term co-operation. No matter what the question, we always get fast and competent support from igus®. Due to our projects worldwide, it is also a great advantage that igus® can support us directly on site with its branches and technicians."
