When the design engineers first heard about the lubrication-free plastic solutions from igus®, they were initially a little sceptical about being able to easily replace the previous bronze nuts, metal recirculating ball bearing guides and brass parts with plastic parts. But the tests carried out and the results were so impressive that these concerns quicklydisappeared. Dynamic Devices then began to gradually replace more and more plain bearings and lead screw nuts with igus® components - it even went so far as to make design changes in order to be able to convert the entire bearing technology to igus®
products. ® In the training robots, dryspin® lead screw nuts and trapezoidalthreaded spindles, drylin® W-linear guide, shafts and our small easy chain® energy chain for the safe guidance of the cable. The iglidur® plain bearings
and dryspin® lead screw nut used are made of wear-resistant high-performance polymers and are therefore 100 per cent lubrication and maintenance-free. Two spindle systems with a linear guide are used for the seat adjustment and for additional safety precautions. Hard anodised aluminium is used as the rail material for the drylin® W profile guides, which ensures the best friction and wear results for profile guides. The absence of lubrication makes the profile guide system extremely resistant to dirt and its cleanliness also makes it suitable for applications in clean and hygienic environments such as hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
In addition to standard products, ddrobotec also received lead screw nut, guidance and spindle, which igus® manufactured according to the customer's individual requirements.
