P4 series - endurance runner for long travel distances at high speeds

The roller e-chain® P4 series has now become the standard for many crane manufacturers. Increasing requirements in terms of speed, additional load and also noise minimisation drove the development of this energy chain series in 2007. In order to be able to simulate the applications under real conditions, a 120 m long travel path was set up in the outdoor area of the igus® laboratory, where the energy chain was tested at 4 m/s and an additional load of 8 kg per metre for a total mileage of 25,000 km.
