Abrasion-optimised high-speed glide bar

More durable than conventional glide bars by a factor of 5
In particularly fast gliding applications, the glide bars in the super aluminium channels were previously a potential weak point. They wear out more quickly than the abrasion-resistant chains. An abrasion-optimised, injection-moulded glide bar has now been developed for these applications. It is significantly more durable at the same price and will be used in all suitable channel sizes in future.

Technical details

The GB.31.500 glide bar has a load-bearing surface of 31 mm. It fits onto the 973.31SL, 974.31.SL and 975.31.SL troughs and therefore for external chain heights of 64 mm, 84 mm and 108 mm. It is simply clipped into the super aluminium trough.

Comparison of glide bar service life - high-speed glide bar vs. standard glide bar

Comparative tests in real customer applications have shown that in highly dynamic applications, the new GB.31.500 glide bar exhibits wear that is more than a factor of 5 lower.
This minimises the amount of maintenance required for the glide bar. Only when the energy chain has reached its wear limit should the glide bar also be inspected. The new glide bar has no influence on the service life of the e-chain® itself.
