Lubrication-free plastic bearings in innovative weaving machine

The UniShed2 machine from Gitec GmbH works without an electromechanical harness and instead uses vibrating axes that are supported in plain bearings from igus. For this purpose, bearings made from the high-performance polymer iglidur J3 are employed. They significantly improved the service life. Their freedom from lubrication ensures that no maintenance is required and no dust or dirt from the environment sticks to the bearing points.
