The Kazak espresso machine
Description of the application. What is the function of the application? Where is the application used?
The product is a manual espresso machine that can be used to make espresso in almost any conditions - both at home and in nature. The manual work in every detail has made it possible to create a high-quality, reliable and extremely flavourful machine.
What are the conditions of use/environment for the end user? What challenges had to be overcome?
The espresso machine does not require electricity to operate and can be taken anywhere. The materials used must be approved for contact with food and withstand the boiling water that is poured into the machine to brew the coffee.
What requirements did the dryspin® lead screw technology have to fulfil?
The most important requirement was complete corrosion protection and no lubrication of the moving parts.
Which solutions from the dryspin® lead screw technology do you use?
A PTGSG trapezoidal threaded spindle with a thread size of 12×3 made of stainless steel was used, which moves in a polymer block. In the cross section, the trapezoidal thread corresponds to an isosceles trapezoid with an angle of 15°. The flank angle is 30°. Compared to the standard thread, the trapezoidal thread spindle has a larger diameter and a larger pitch. The lead angle of single start trapezoidal threaded spindles is smaller than the arc tangent. This results in self-locking.
Where was the lead screw inserted? How could the dryspin® products solve the problems?
The dryspin® solution has found its place in the crank mechanism. By turning the crank, the necessary pressure is generated so that the coffee can be properly prepared.
