Book scanner
  • What was needed: A book scanner for the digitisation of cultural assets
  • Requirements: 100 % lubrication and maintenance-free, maintenance-free dry operation, low-noise, cost-effective
  • Material used: drylin® Trapezoidal threaded spindle with matching lead screw nut in special design made from the material iglidur® W300
  • Success for the customer: Lubrication-free drylin® trapezoidal thread nuts are used in a book scanner for the digitisation of cultural assets. The book scanner scans the documents to be digitised by placing them on the device with the page to be scanned facing upwards. This is illuminated from above, photographed and then transferred to a connected computer. Due to its lubricant-free and maintenance-free dry running, a special nut made of iglidur® W300 with metallic threaded inserts M4 is used in this book scanner.
