Reliable energy supply for double lock in Krammersluis

The 280m sea lock in Krammersluis near Zeeland regulates the passing shipping traffic in continuous operation, every day. Until 2009, a tender system was used to supply the pumps, interlocking and lighting with power, which resulted in twisted and broken cables. Tough chain systems for lock in Nieuwdorp

The new energy supply system was installed in the lock system in Nieuwdorp in the Netherlands in a very short time. The weather- and seawater-resistant prefabricated e-chain® run in precisely fitting aluminium channels for 40 metres each, can easily compensate for the lateral movements of the system and thus ensure a reliable energy supply for the lock gates.
