Wear test in the test laboratory

Walk test stand: load 1 N/mm2, speed 0.3 m/s

In order to be able to provide you with precise information about the wear rate of our knife edge roller materials, they are tested under real operating conditions in our Test laboratory analysed. Four different iglidur materials as well as PET-P and POM-C were tested. To also make statements regarding the wear behaviour depending on the shaft materials, knife edge rollers were tested on 304 SS and silver steel shafts.

Load: 1MPa, speed: 0.3m/s and 0.6m/s

Knife edge rollers made of various iglidur materials running on 304 stainless steel shafts were tested. The materials were tested at speeds of 0.3m/s and 0.6m/s.

Use in food processing

It is not only raw bakery products that present the machine manufacturer in the food sector with considerable challenges. If two conveyor belts are joined together with a butt joint, the radii of the guide rollers results in a gap between the two belts. The risk: sensitive products, such as raw pasta products, simply slide into the gap between the conveyor belts.

To transfer these products safely from belt to belt, the belt deflection of the conveyor belts and the gap between the belts must be kept as small as possible.
