igus was founded on 15 October 1964 by Margret and Günter Blase. "Give me your most difficult part and I will give you a solution," said Günter Blase to win his first customer. At its core, this idea still drives us forward. Because our motion plastics improve applications or reduce costs, often both at the same time.
This autumn, we are presenting 265 new products and product range additions across all igus product worlds. Many of these news are the result of specific requests from our customers. We love the progress that brings together the art of engineering, artificial intelligence and digital innovations. And we dream of a lubrication-free world...

For a lubrication-free world: GO ZERO Lubrication
Every year, 240 billion dollars are spent on lubrication worldwide. This is associated with maintenance costs of at least 200 billion dollars. Despite this, inadequate lubrication occurs time and again, causing machine failures totalling 750 billion dollars. In total, therefore, over 1 trillion dollars in costs associated with lubrication. In addition, lubricants pollute the environment, as half of them end up in water and soil.
