Do you want to improve the sliding properties of your components? Or do you have components that need to be protected against wear? This is possible with our coating. Our coating powders consist of high-performance polymers and are tribologically optimised. This means that they reduce the coefficient of friction and ensure low wear.
iglidur® Coating can be applied to electrically conductive surfaces. This is done with the help of an electrostatic powder coating process. The coating powder is evenly distributed on the surface to be coated and forms a homogeneous layer.
The coating thickness can be customised. However, it should be noted that the conductivity of the component surface and therefore the adhesion of the powder decreases as the layer thickness increases. The layer thickness is usuallybetween 60 and 120μm. Under favourable conditions ,up to 500 μm can be achieved.
The coatings are based on thermoplastic polymers, which are mixed with various fillers and solid lubricants and processed into a powder. Coated components no longer need to be lubricated and have an improved coefficient of friction.
