We have developed iglidur® RW250 for this purpose​

The highest safety requirements apply to means of transport in local and long-distance public transport. One of these is the fire protection standard DIN EN 45545 for railway vehicles. ​

Bearings, which are used in the numerous mechanisms for seats, levers, flaps and doors, must fulfil these requirements in order not to endanger passengers in the event of a fire. ​

These - quite rightly - strict requirements pose major challenges for material development in bearing technology. In addition to the iglidur® RW370 bearing material already established in the industry, we have developed iglidur® RW250, an even more cost-effective material that is even more wear-resistant in the medium load range. ​
