If lighting hoists, video walls, projectors, chandeliers or loudspeakers move vertically on the stage or in the auditorium, the cable package must also be routed safely. If the system is not to be seen or cannot be moved for weight reasons, our slip-ring-free cable reel e-spool® is the ideal solution. Otherwise, the zig-zag system is a good alternative.

Vertical stage podium movement

When stage platforms move up and down, all cables for travelling drive, media and lighting technology must be carried along. The e-spool® enables the energy chain to be redirected. The retractable platform is supplied with the necessary cables via the zig-zag system. Maintenance-free iglidur ® Q3E high-load plain bearings and drylin® W-linear guide are used for scissor lift platforms.

Horizontally moving portal towers

The portal towers in theatres can often be moved to change the portal section. As the towers are equipped with technology, a safe energy supply is required here. Our e-chain® series E4.1 takes on this task. The chain either moves in a trough below the working gallery or hangs freely in a U-shape on the tower.

Curtain scissor hoist

To ensure that curtains open and close evenly, scissor pulls are used especially for heavy fabrics. iglidur ® G bearings and thrust washers are used in the joints. If the drives for the horizontal opening also move, the zig-zag system offers a good solution to guide the cables safely.

Linear guidance of the cable drum or deflection rollers in drive systems

If the rope drum is very close to the first deflection pulley in stage machinery winches, the rope drum or deflection pulleys must be moved in parallel. This ensures that the steel cables are always guided safely when winding and unwinding. our lubrication-free drylin® W and drylin® R linear guides or a drylin® linear axis with spindle drive are primarily used here. In addition, the cables are safely guided in an E2.1-energy chain during movement. The guidance of the cables on the drum is provided by xiros conveyor rollers.

Horizontal stage trolley movement

For moving horizontal elements on stage such as stage trolleys or LED video walls, energy chains ensure a safe power supply. Our noise-reducing e-chain® series E6 or the e-spool® cable reel are suitable for this purpose.

Telescoping galleries

In telescopic spectator stands, cables for the step lighting must be carried along, for example with e-chain® of the E2.1 or E4Q series. Our maintenance-free plastic bushings made of the materials iglidur ® G or iglidur ® J are ideal for the bearing points in the tilting mechanism of the seats.
